Aaron Tranter

Dr Aaron Tranter is a research fellow in the Department of Quantum Science and Technology at the Australian National University. Aaron’s current research in the Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology (CQC2T) covers cold atoms as a quantum memory platform for quantum communications, engineering atom-light interactions, machine learning applied to problems in quantum physics and using physical systems as machine learning platforms. He is the CEO of the ACT based machine learning start-up, Aqacia, providing machine learning technology to the renewable energy and quantum technology sectors with customers such as PVLab Australia and Silicon Quantum Computing. Aaron has also been involved in building the ANU quantum random number generator service into a successful commercial product hosted on the Amazon Web Services platform.
