Inclusive AI: From special projects to scalable workplace solutions

In our everyday environments, both at home and work, we typically adjust ourselves to fit the surroundings. But what if our environments could adapt to us instead? In his keynote, Prof. Olivier Oullier will explore how AI-powered adaptive human-machine interfaces can improve inclusion and safety (physical and psychological) in the workplace and beyond. Together with a live BCI demo, he will share how special projects that enabled people with disabilities to mind-control a real Formula 1 race car and an exoskeleton arm to be an Olympic torchbearer have paved the way for a new generation of affordable and scalable assistive technologies. The combination of generative AI with advanced brain-computer interfaces (BCI) can enable connected devices and digital environments to adapt to how we feel in real time, and to who we really are, regardless of our physicality, abilities, and needs, however special they might be, and therefore make the world more inclusive.
