  • The effects of climate change and extreme weather are impacting individuals and nations around the world. From damage to infrastructure and physical assets, disruptions to supply chains and operations, and more severe global climate change events, it is clear that organizations are in need of better environmental insights to help adapt to and mitigate these climate risks. The challenge is that current methods of gathering and analyzing this data, and making it actionable for organizations, are cumbersome and complex. AI and automation have a crucial role to play in addressing this challenge.

The IBM Environmental Intelligence Suite (EIS) is a modernized foundation toolkit that leverages advances in AI and data sciences to help organizations manage risk of the climate crisis. EIS provides organizations with timely, fact-based and actionable intelligence to proactively plan for and manage the impact of severe weather and climate change events – built on the world’s most accurate weather data from IBM’s The Weather Company, alongside geospatial analytics and AI innovations.

This demonstration will showcase how these tools can enable organizations to:

    • Leverage climate and weather data as a foundation for modeling their operational risk
    • Evaluate long term/chronic physical risk with geospatial analytics
    • Manage acute physical risk, with real world examples of these technologies in action
