This workshop is organized as part of the International Girls in ICT Day 2026 celebrations, under the theme “AI for Development: Girls Shaping the Digital Future,” and will take place during the AI for Good Global Summit. It aims to inspire young girls between 8–12 years to explore artificial intelligence and digital technologies through an engaging, hands-on learning experience.

Designed as a rotational activity, groups of girls will participate in interactive AI workshops facilitated by AddictLab, using accessible tools such as BBC Micro:bit. These sessions will introduce key AI concepts through practical experimentation and creative problem-solving. In parallel, participants will engage in short, informal exchanges with women working in AI and STEM, including professionals from CERN, who will share their experiences and career journeys.

The workshop seeks to create a dynamic and inclusive environment where girls can build confidence, ask questions, and envision themselves as future innovators in the digital space. By taking place within the AI4G Summit, the activity will also expose participants to a global community of experts and showcase the importance of empowering girls in AI to a wider international audience.
