Embodied intelligence -AI systems with a physical presence such as autonomous vehicles, service robots, and drones- is rapidly advancing across key sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, education, transportation, and public safety. These systems rely on high-performance telecommunication networks to operate safely, efficiently, and autonomously. This session will examine the technical enablers required to integrate embodied intelligent systems into ICT infrastructures, focusing on challenges such as interoperability, network reliability, latency, safety, and data exchange. Experts will explore current deployment scenarios, emerging use cases, gaps in current standardization efforts, and the need for shared frameworks, taxonomies, and performance benchmarks to support scalable, cross-sectoral adoption. The session aims to foster dialogue among stakeholders working at the intersection of robotics, AI, and telecommunications to ensure that embodied intelligence evolves in a secure, inclusive, and standards-driven ecosystem.
