It also provides a vehicle for formalizing an independent oversight/advisory body to foster Kenya-led AI and informs AI practitioners of relevant legislative, regulatory, and ethical frameworks. Further, it proposes legislative and regulatory reform to address barriers to AI for social good, thereby promoting a nurturing AI environment while safeguarding citizens‘ civil and privacy rights.
