AI-related policy and regulatory initiatives

Pursuant to Plenipotentiary Resolution 214 (Bucharest, 2022), ITU launched an AI Landscape Survey for its Member States in September 2023 to gather information about their AI-related policy and regulatory initiatives and how these efforts align with their ongoing Digital Transformation endeavors. 
As of 1 December 2023, submissions have been received from 69 Member States comprising 12 developed countries and 57 developing countries, including 10 Least Developed Countries. An initial analysis of the results is presented below.
