Research shows that 20-50% of radiological imaging is of low value, meaning it has little to no impact on care trajectories, risks doing more harm than good for patients, and leads to high costs and long waiting times. Co-developed with leading experts in radiology, Hugin Medical’s algorithm reduces low-value imaging by automatically reviewing radiology referrals against clinical guidelines, ensuring that diagnostics happens in line with expert recommendations.

By reducing low-value diagnostics, Hugin’s technology helps tackle the multi-billion-dollar problem of diagnostic overuse. It helps create a more just and sustainable healthcare system where adhering to guidelines is easier, and where radiology resources are prioritized in a better way.
