I’m Abdulla Daiban, a Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence student at Khalifa University with a strong passion for innovation and using technology to create real-world impact. As the co-founder of Mershid, an AI-powered travel tech startup, I help deliver personalized real-time city exploration experiences for international travelers.

My work blends data engineering, cloud architecture, and artificial intelligence. I focus on building scalable secure systems and structuring data pipelines to support AI-driven intelligent applications. One of my proudest achievements is Terrapix, an AI-powered smart environmental monitoring solution that was named the top project in the Samsung Innovation Campus (SGE 2024) — a reflection of my commitment to solving meaningful challenges through technology.

Adam Kouadri A Young Advocate for Digital Solidarity and Community Empowerment

Adam Kouadri is a dedicated and ambitious individual with a passion for technology, education, and community service. He has established himself as a proactive volunteer and a rising leader in the field of digital solidarity.
From May 2024, Adam has been an integral part of Noah’s Ark Technology Digital Solidarity, where he contributes to projects aimed at reducing the digital divide in his community. In this role, he has demonstrated exceptional commitment by providing technological assistance, facilitating workshops, and offering tailored digital support to individuals and organizations. Adam’s involvement has underscored the transformative power of technology in fostering equality and social progress.

In addition, Adam has been volunteering with Solidarité Numérique, Éducation et Santé Castres (SNESC) since June 2023. His contributions to SNESC include organizing community events, supporting digital literacy campaigns, and managing local initiatives designed to empower underserved populations. These efforts reflect his unwavering dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all.

Beyond his local endeavors, Adam also engages with Noah Production Genève, where he holds a simulated CEO role as part of a volunteer initiative. This experience has enabled him to hone his leadership, project management, and strategic planning skills while exploring innovative approaches to global challenges.

Holds a Master’s in Multidisciplinary Research, biophysics, and a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology, with extensive studies in bioinformatics and data science, and experience in healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship. Fluent in 7 languages, with 4 at native level. Adam started his career in biophysics, and later founded his first startup MidasTimes to help improve mental health of students, and later joined Luci Health where he achieved the position of COO.

Now board member of the Institute for Human Centered Health Innovation and ElevateHealth, Adam also serves as advisor for the e-Health Innovation Center and director of innovation and scientific programs of the International e-Health Forum. Adam also serves as president of Innovation Forum in Barcelona and consultant, associated expert and/or advisor in local and international private and public organizations in healthcare (Boehringer Ingelheim, EIT Health, Evidenze, Fundación Visible. Digital Mental Health Consortium). Recognized for leadership in healthcare innovation and global health discussions, his work has received more than 15 million impressions. Adam is also currently member of the Global Shapers Longevity Economy Task Force organized by the World Economic Forum.

Concurrently, he works as a working student at the AI Competence Center at the Wilo Group. His core competencies lie in exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, data visualization, and model deployment, leveraging these skills to make intelligent data-driven decisions and gain analytical insights. Several interconnected areas within Artificial Intelligence deeply fascinate Adrian, and he is passionate about transforming raw data into actionable intelligence. Agustín is a Mechanical Engineer who began his career in Machine Learning Engineering in 2022. His educational background in mechanical engineering, particularly in energy systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics, has shaped his deep interest in how artificial intelligence can enhance the modeling and simulation of physical processes. While his current role focuses primarily on machine learning applications, Agustín is actively working toward blending his engineering foundation with AI techniques, pursuing a master’s degree that will help steer his career in this direction.
Over the years, Agustín has contributed to various projects addressing global challenges, including work on UN-related issues. In these projects, he helped develop strategies to improve risk assessment and mitigation. Additionally, he worked with his university on wind tunnel research aimed at optimizing airflow around buildings to improve the comfort of surrounding areas, particularly by minimizing wind-related discomfort.
Agustín’s goal is to use machine learning as a tool to improve energy systems and enhance the accuracy of physical simulations. Through his master’s studies, he is gradually shifting his focus to combine AI with mechanical engineering to create more efficient systems and potentially predict and optimize phenomena like weather patterns and energy consumption. By applying these techniques, Agustín hopes to contribute to sustainability efforts and find innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
His professional journey reflects a clear drive to connect the traditional principles of engineering with modern AI capabilities, ultimately working toward solutions that can reduce energy consumption, increase system efficiency, and help address real-world environmental challenges.

I’m Alejandra Rojas Garzón, a machine learning and artificial intelligence engineer with over five years of experience dedicated to building highly scalable technology products with purpose. My professional passion lies in creating innovative solutions by integrating diverse technologies and leading collaborative teams, a mission I pursue while deepening my expertise through a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence.

My work is guided by the core belief that technology’s greatest potential is realized when it is used to solve real-world human challenges. I am driven by the opportunity to align artificial intelligence with the Sustainable Development Goals, transforming it into a powerful catalyst for collective well-being, a tool to close inequality gaps, and a foundation for building fairer and more inclusive societies.

This commitment to purposeful innovation is why I am honored to serve as the Impact Lead of the Bogotá Hub at AI for Good. This role allows me to lead with intention, connect with a global community that believes in ethical and inclusive AI, and help turn transformative ideas into tangible action.

From our position in Latin America and especially from my home in Colombia we are championing an artificial intelligence that must also speak our language, understand our unique challenges, and enhance our regional solutions. Through the Bogotá Hub, we are actively working to promote and build an AI that not only drives sustainable development but also respects and reflects the rich context and diversity of our region.

Alejandro Montenegro is currently a Business Analyst intern at Amazon and a Business Intelligence student at Tecnológico de Monterrey (TEC), set to graduate in June 2025. Following a successful project at TEC in collaboration with MIT, he was invited to participate in a research and development initiative at MIT’s Low-Income Firms Transformation (LIFT) Lab during the second half of 2024.

The project, called, Lupita, is an AI-powered image recognition system designed to help store owners automatically record sales by capturing photos of purchased products. It also aims to update the store’s inventory and provides restocking recommendations based on sales history. The goal of Lupita is to make artificial intelligence accessible to nano-stores, colloquially known as “tienditas”, across Mexico and Latin America, which often lack access to such technology.

As he nears graduation, Alejandro is dedicated to leveraging his experience from MIT, Tecnológico de Monterrey, and Amazon to drive meaningful change in his community, applying his expertise in artificial intelligence to create innovative and impactful solutions.

Alesia Ahmetaj is a dedicated legal student based in Vienna, Austria, currently pursuing her studies in Business Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU). With her Master’s program set to begin in March, Alesia is eager to deepen her understanding of the intersection between law, business and innovation. Her academic pursuits reflect her passion for technology, legal frameworks, private equity and the dynamic investment landscape, especially in the context of international matters.

In her current role as a Junior Investment Analyst at AMVS Capital, a Geneva-based investment firm, Alesia is gaining invaluable exposure to the intricacies of private equity and investment strategies. She balances her professional pursuits with a genuine passion, is organized and disciplined, and thrives in team settings due to her interpersonal skills.

Previously, Alesia gained valuable practical experience by working in a law office, where she developed strong analytical skills. She also completed an internship in the banking sector.

In her current role working with startups she has developed a strong interest in emerging technologies, particularly a keen interest in AI. She aims to engage with initiatives like Young AI Leaders to connect with others passionate about exploring the potential of AI and its transformative impact on various industries. Her journey has included building chatbots for safe spaces, creating intuitive mobile apps with Flutter, integrating APIs for emergency response systems, and exploring AI’s role in carbon footprint analysis for bioenergy in Africa. She is a firm believer in ethical AI and digital equity, often participating in hackathons, speaking at youth-led innovation forums, and leading community-building efforts to bridge the gap between AI research and real-world impact. Currently working on a mental wellness app that combines affirmations, binaural beats, and multilingual support, Alice is also leading initiatives that mentor the next generation of AI leaders. Alina Huang is the Founder of the Fair Tech Policy Lab, a think tank addressing algorithmic discrimination and bias that translate into tangible harm, an urgent issue in the digital age that has lacked sufficient policy intervention. The think tank operates through interdisciplinary research, policy proposals, and public engagement. Alina is a member of the Young AI Leaders London Hub, where she collaborates with a global network to shape a vision for ethical and inclusive technology. Alina also volunteers at We and AI, a nonprofit organisation based in the UK. She is currently co-developing a project called “Sensory AI Boxes”, a tactile, hands-on engagement toolkit designed to foster critical thinking around AI among marginalised communities.

Alina’s purpose is grounded in challenging the invisibility of digital injustice. Through her work, she aims to ensure that people not only understand the systems shaping their futures, but actively reshape them with equity. Alina’s academic interests lie at the intersection of artificial intelligence, public policy, and social justice. Her published research explores how biased technologies reinforce gender inequalities in the judiciary and the gig economy. She has presented her work at international conferences such as ICGPSH and ICFBA, and has been recognised by the Social Justice Awards (First Prize Winner) and the Harvard International Review (Silver Medallist). Alina is currently conducting graduate-level research through the University of California, Santa Barbara where she investigates natural langauge processing models.

In addition to her academic interests, Alina is deeply passionate about social entrepreneurship and leadership. She co-founded the Raising Awearness Campaign, an international nonprofit operating in over six countries under 501(c)(3) status. The organisation uses sustainable clothing and tote bags with meaningful messages to provide an avenue for teenagers to raise awareness of social issues through ethical fashion, with the current theme being “Coded Inequality.” Alina is also the editor-in-chief of Vantage Magazine, an interdisciplinary academic publication that celebrates diverse perspectives and intellectual curiosity across politics, classics, and economics.

Álvaro Marcelo Santos Lima de Freixo is an innovative and dynamic professional specialising in the intersection of artificial intelligence, computer vision and extended reality. With a practical and investigative approach, he is dedicated to researching and developing cutting-edge technological solutions.

He is currently doing an internship in Mixed Reality and Artificial Vision at Fernando Ferro & Irmão S.A. | CREATRIX, where he works with Apple Vision Pro, digital twins and the connected industry. At the same time, since 2018, he has been servicing and maintaining hardware and software in electronic devices, consolidating his technological experience.

He has a degree and a master’s in Computational Engineering from the University of Aveiro, specialising in the development of augmented reality and artificial intelligence applications. During his academic and professional career, he has been involved in innovative projects such as optimising industrial inspections with pervasive augmented reality (internship at Altri) and developing applications for Microsoft HoloLens 2 at the University of Aveiro’s VAR Lab.

He is proficient in several programming languages and his experience includes developing augmented reality applications, pedestrian detection with infrared cameras using AI (YOLOv3) and sales forecasting with LSTM neural networks.

Amilka currently serves as a member of Young AI Leaders Programme for AI for Good as a part of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations agency dedicated to information and communication technologies (ICTs). Amilka has extensive expertise in neural networks and their various AI implementations, with a deep understanding of data analysis—from data processing to interpretation. With a strong foundation in computational simulations, Amilka applies advanced techniques to model complex systems and extract valuable insights from large datasets, driving innovation in AI and machine learning fields.

Amilka is currently undergoing a Bachelor´s Degree in Computer Science and Technology student at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her work spans cancer classification and prediction using advanced neural network models, digital handwriting recognition, and computational physics simulations.

Amilka has undertaken a range of research initiatives to develop and apply AI technologies to solve real-world challenges, including leveraging machine learning for medical diagnosis and simulation-based modelling in physics.
