Yue Qiu

Yue Qiu is the Associate Professor and Senior Research fellow in Tsinghua Medicine, Tsinghua University. She acquired degrees in Statistics (B.S.), Economics (B.S.), and Demography (PhD) at Peking University. She previously served as the senior research fellow at the Development Research Centre of the State Council of China(DRC) and was a visiting scholar at the Harvard Kennedy School. Her research interests are healthcare system and policy, with particular attention to advance AI in healthcare.

Dr. Qiu’s studies influenced national policy making. For the past 10 years, she was PI for more than 20 projects. Her projects were funded by the Research Office of the State Council, National Health Commission, National Healthcare Security Administration, Chinese Academy of Engineering, National Key Research and Development Program, National Social Science Fund, Gates Foundation, and etc. She published more than 50 papers or chapters, of which got positive feedbacks 13 times by the Chinese Premier or Vice-Premiers. She also published papers in the top international journals such as The Lancet, its sub journal and NEJM sub journal.

Dr. Qiu was awarded as the “Outstanding fellow” by DRC and “Emerging Leaders in Health and Medicine” by National Academy of Medicine. She served as the expert for several ministries and was involved in several international dialogues with top universities.
