Currently, as Vice Chancellor of Kaveri University, Dr. Rao continues to promote innovation,
entrepreneurship and collaboration culture and platforms, and cutting-edge projects on blockchain in
seed production, AI, IoT, Drones, robotics and precision irrigation & fertigation technologies that solve
societal problems and livelihood security of small and marginal farmers.
Prof. Velchala Praveen Rao’s pioneering contributions in agricultural research, education, and
innovation have profoundly impacted Telangana and Indian agriculture. His dedication to regenerative
agriculture practices, sustainability, emerging technologies, and farmer empowerment continues to
inspire the next generation of agricultural leaders
