Pritha Acharya

Pritha Acharya has around 7 years of experience in Awareness Generation, Training & Capacity Building, Policy Linked Research & Documentation, Knowledge Integration and Mainstreaming across areas of Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Sustainable Development, Nature-based Solutions and Biodiversity. She worked with the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), assisting in leading and coordinating the ‘Climate Adaptive Planning for Resilience and Sustainability Development in Multi-Hazard Environment (CAP-RES)’ project funded by DST, Govt. of India under the National Mission on Strategic Knowledge for Climate Change (NMSKCC). She has also contributed in development of sectoral disaster management plans of Govt. of India. She is one of the editors of the Springer Nature book on ‘Disaster Risk and Management Under Climate Change’. She was also associated with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), India and contributed to their Leader’s for Nature Project. Currently, she is associated with the Integrated Centre for Adaptation, Disaster Risk Resilience and Sustainability (ICARS), a Centre of Excellence established in collaboration with DST-GoI and IIT Roorkee.
