ORCA Hand

ORCA Hand

ORCA is a low-cost, open-source robotic hand with 17 DoF, tendon-driven actuation, onboard sensing, and a full software stack for learning and control. At the Summit, we are showing two demos:

1. Teleoperation Challenge
Visitors wear gloves to directly control the hand and complete a task using a first aid kit, simulating a rescue scenario. To make it fun, we run it as a challenge: whoever’s fastest or most precise wins a small prize. It’s a good way to get a feel for the system and try dexterous teleoperation firsthand.

2. Autonomous Waste Sorting
In this demo, the hand runs pre-trained policies (IL + RL) and classifies objects like PET bottles and cardboard into the right bin. You give it the item, and it does the rest, fully autonomous.

Both demos highlight what ORCA can do, both with and without a human in the loop. Drop by, try it out, and feel free to ask questions
