Mio Murao

Mio Murao

Mio Murao received her B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Ochanomizu University in Tokyo, Japan in 1991, 1993 and 1996, respectively. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University, Imperial College London and RIKEN (Japan). She became an associate professor in 2001 and a professor in 2015 in the Department of Physics, the School of Science, the University of Tokyo. She has been working in the field of theoretical quantum information science since 1997 and is currently focusing on quantum programming, quantum algorithms, quantum learning and distributed quantum computation.
