Mariam Ali Al Suwaidi

Mariam Ali Al Suwaidi is the Chief Archaeologist at Dubai Culture & Arts Authority with expertise in excavation, artifact registration, and archaeological surveying. She has

worked on key archaeological sites such as Saruq Al-Hadid, Jumeirah, Al Sufouh, and Hatta. Mariam has collaborated with international archaeological missions from Spain, Germany, Poland, and Australia by supervising and contributing to their excavation projects. She has also participated in regional site visits and training programs in Oman, Jordan, Spain, and Poland.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum Geology and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Cultural Heritage and Archaeology at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi. She recently began her journey in academic writing and has contributed to recent archaeological conferences, including the 57th Seminar for Arabian Studies and the Archaeology Conference 2024. In addition to her fieldwork, Mariam actively supports the promotion of cultural heritage through public programs, educational workshops, museum collaborations, and awareness campaigns across Dubai.
