Maria J. Molina

Maria J. Molina is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science at the University of Maryland. Maria is also an Affiliate Faculty member with the Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Institute at Maryland and the University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies. Maria serves as Vice-Chair of the AMS STAC Committee on Artificial Intelligence Applications to Environmental Science, is a member of the WCRP Scientific Steering Group for the Earth System Modelling and Observations (ESMO) Core Project, and is a member of the US CLIVAR Predictability, Predictions, and Applications Interface (PPAI) panel. Maria’s research group focuses on Predictability and Applied Research for the Earth-system with Training and Optimization (PARETO). Maria recently earned the NASA Early Career Investigator Program in Earth Science Award.
