Mahesh Sadupalli

Mahesh Sadupalli is a passionate Artificial Intelligence Student Research practitioner currently pursuing his M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, and a visiting student at TU Berlin. He has a strong interdisciplinary foundation, having previously completed a B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering and a BS in Data Science from IIT Madras. His work bridges healthcare, computer vision, and statistical learning, with a focus on applying AI to real-world problems.

At the Robert Koch Institute(RKI), Mahesh supports data analysis for antimicrobial resistance (AMR) projects. He is also developing a Deep learning model for multimodal satellite data to improve insights into Germany’s healthcare prescription practices. In addition to his current role, Mahesh has industry experience as a software analyst and has contributed to backend development using Java and Spring Boot.

His research interests lie in Generative models, especially optimizing loss functions in GANs for image super-resolution. He is skilled in Python and machine learning tools such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch and TensorFlow. Notable achievements include his recognition as an EY Open Science Ambassador and participation in the EY Databeats Hackathon.

Curious by nature, an Anthropologist at heart (even without the degree), with a Master’s in Public Administration, passionate about understanding people, systems, and the spaces between them. On weekends, you’ll find him on horseback—riding for balance, joy, and a bit of wild freedom. Outside of work, Mahesh has demonstrated leadership and empathy through volunteering at major international events such as the Special Olympics 2023 and UEFA EURO 2024. His broad learning experience — including leadership, ethics, and sustainability gained during UPSC Civil Services preparation — complements his technical expertise, making him a well-rounded contributor to any community.
