Lívia Rocha

Lívia is a Computer Science student with a trajectory defined by her commitment to the ethical and transformative application of technology. From the beginning of her academic journey, she has shown a keen interest in developing innovative solutions to social challenges, leading her to create an application focused on media literacy, empowering young people to navigate the digital environment critically and responsibly.

Her work also stands out in the field of artificial intelligence and technological regulation. Lívia drafted and presented a legislative proposal in her state’s Assembly aimed at regulating the use of facial recognition systems in public security, contributing to essential debates on transparency, fairness, and ethics in algorithmic applications.

At university, Lívia founded the Lovelace Collective, a space dedicated to supporting and promoting the inclusion of women in Computer Science. This initiative reflects her determination to tackle structural inequalities and create opportunities for more women to thrive in the tech field.

With extensive leadership experience, Lívia has also worked closely with youth, guiding them in projects that connect citizenship, technology, and social impact. Her ability to mobilize and inspire young people is one of her defining qualities, showcasing her skill in building collaborative and engaged networks.

Now, as a Hub Leader in the AI for Good program, Lívia takes on a strategic role in driving initiatives that combine artificial intelligence and sustainable development in her region. Her goal is to harness technology as a tool to reduce inequalities, promote inclusion, and create innovative solutions that benefit both local and global communities.
