Ken Carswell

Dr Ken Carswell has a background in clinical psychology and is a Technical Officer with the WHO Department of Mental Health and Substance Use in Geneva. He is the departmental focal point for innovation and digital mental health, and scalable psychological interventions. He has been centrally involved in the development of a number of WHO psychological interventions, including self-help interventions that use technology such as Self-Help Plus (SH+), Step-by-Step and STARS. Increasingly he is involved in supporting the implementation of these packages. He also works on the development of other digital tools such as a smartphone app version of WHOs mhGAP Intervention Guide 2.0, which supports non-specialist providers to manage priority mental health conditions.
