Joshua Bongard

Josh Bongard is the Veinott Professor of Computer Science at the University of Vermont, USA. His work on robotics and AI has been featured on CNN, the New York Times, and the BBC. He received an award for his work from Barack Obama at a White House Ceremony in 2010. He is one of the inventors of “xenobots”, the world’s first AI-designed organisms. He co-founded a spinoff company, Fauna Systems, dedicated to AI designing organisms for environmental remediation, human health, and planetary colonization.
