Jaewan Kim

Dr. Jaewan Kim is a National Distinguished Research Fellow and currently serves as Director of the Strategic Research Center for Hyper-Connected Scalable Super-Quantum Computing at the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), as well as Academic Co-Chair of the Future Quantum Convergence Forum (FQCF). Prior to joining KRISS, he was affiliated with the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) from 2002 to 2025, where he served as Professor, Vice President, Acting President, and Distinguished Professor in Quantum Information Science. He has also served as Steering Committee Chair of the Asia Quantum Information Science (AQIS) Conference, Director of the Institute of Quantum Information Technology at Yonsei University (2024–2025), and Founding President of the Quantum Information Society of Korea (2022–2024).
