Deborah Arthur

Deborah Arthur is the Co-Founder and Vice President of AI Ghana, an NGO committed to promoting the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Ghana and beyond. She also serves as the Country Ambassador for Zindi, where she leads machine learning events and initiatives. Deborah is a research fellow at the Center for AI and Digital Policy where she researches global AI laws and policies.

With expertise in communication, research, community management, and AI policy, Deborah brings a unique blend of skills, underpinned by her bilingual proficiency. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public policy and governance, which complements her deep commitment to advancing AI’s societal impact.

In 2024, Deborah co-founded Divas in AI, a diverse network within AI Ghana dedicated to empowering women with the skills needed for careers in AI. Through this initiative, Deborah seeks to promote education, inclusivity, and gender equality in the AI field, advocating for greater representation and leadership of women in technology.
