Daniel Jennings

Daniel Jennings is an environmental data scientist with expertise in climate change, sustainability and computational technology. With a background in Physics, Geography, Climate Science and Computer Science, his work focuses on leveraging machine learning, simulation models, and quantitative methods to support sustainable decision-making.

He has worked on climate modelling, machine learning for oceanic microplastic tracking, agricultural data analytics, and environmental data integration. His projects have contributed to enhancing hurricane simulation models, optimizing agricultural crop modelling software, and standardizing climate datasets for better accessibility and efficiency.

Daniel is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Data Science, where he explores AI-driven climate solutions with an emphasis on regional sustainability strategies for the Caribbean and Latin America. He is also a member of the Climate Research Group Mona, the research arm of climate studies at the University of the West Indies. His passion lies in bridging technology and environmental impact, developing scalable solutions that address climate resilience, biodiversity, and energy challenges.
