Christopher Tun Andersen

Norwegian violinist Christopher Tun Andersen has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician across Europe, Russia, and the U.S., appearing with orchestras such as the Bergen Philharmonic, Berlin Symphony, and St. Petersburg State Symphony. A laureate of several international competitions – including the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and 1st prizes at Jugend Musiziert and Serguei Azizian Violin Competitions – he studied with Isaac Schuldman, Pinchas Zukerman, and Ivan Ženatý at institutions including the Manhattan School of Music and the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Festival appearances include Verbier, Kronberg, and the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, and his critically acclaimed recordings feature works by Hjellemo, Brahms, and Sinding. He performs on a 1753 G.B. Guadagnini violin, generously provided by the Anders Sveaas Charitable Foundation.
