Charlyne Restivo

Charlyne Restivo serves as Programme Coordinator at the ITU Standardization Bureau, where she leads a portfolio of global programmes and strategic initiatives at the intersection of technology, diplomacy, and the representation of women and youth in standardization.

Early in her career, she worked in the Office of the Secretary-General at ITU, serving for four years in direct support of the Secretary-General and contributing to executive coordination at the highest level of the organization.

Since joining ITU in 2013, she has contributed to several major institutional priorities, including the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA), AI for Good Global Summit, and the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS). She manages partnerships with industry and international standards development organizations.

Charlyne was the inaugural Co-Chair of the ITU Youth Task Force, where she guided intergenerational collaboration toward concrete outcomes, and she continues to promote youth engagement in standardization processes.

A political scientist by training, she holds both a bachelor’s and a specialized master’s degree in international relations from Sciences Po Lyon (France), and also studied at the University of California, Santa Cruz (USA). She is a certified PRINCE2 project manager, and speaks French, English and some Spanish.
