Carolina Grossetti

Carolina Grossetti is a rising professional with a strong interdisciplinary background and a demonstrated commitment to Innovation at the intersection of Finance, Sustainability, and Youth Engagement. 

Born in 2000, she currently serves as Junior Program Officer within the Mission Protect the Environment at the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, one of Italy’s leading Philanthropic Institutions.

Carolina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree with Honors in Corporate Finance and Financial Markets from the University of Turin. Her academic path has been complemented by intensive interdisciplinary training at the Ferdinando Rossi School of Excellence, where she is completing a second-level Master’s in Governance and Natural Sciences, reflecting her commitment to integrating scientific insight into Policy and Economic decision-making.

Her early career has already been marked by a blend of Entrepreneurial initiative and Institutional engagement. She co-founded a fintech startup designed to incentivize the adoption of supplementary pension plans, which earned recognition through the SEI Inventor Program and pre-incubation support from I3P, the Innovation Hub of Politecnico di Torino.

This hands-on experience was complemented by a strategic internship in the Coordination of Risk Management & Digital Strategy Initiatives Division of Intesa Sanpaolo. Her Master’s Thesis, titled Measuring Ethics in AI: Overview and Limitations of Fairness Metrics, was written in collaboration with Intesa SanPaolo, was awarded publishing distinction and received a special recognition from the Bank of Italy, which selected her among a small group of particularly meritorious students within the context of the prestigious Donato Menichella Scholarship.

Beyond Academia and professional work, Carolina has demonstrated a strong dedication to civic leadership and multigenerational dialogue. She was elected Impact Officer of the Turin Hub of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum, where she has led projects focused on Innovation and Financial Education. Additionally, she served on the Young Advisory Board of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, a pioneering body created to integrate youth perspectives into strategic philanthropic planning.
