Beekee Box

Beekee Box

Beekee Box is a can-sized, low-power mini-server that creates an instant local Wi-Fi network so up to 40 learners can access interactive Moodle courses on their own smartphones, tablets or PCs – entirely offline, with zero SIM cards, routers or satellite links. When a connection is available, Beekee’s proprietary synchronisation securely transfers all learner identities, progress and course updates to central systems, enabling monitoring and reporting just like in connected environments. Deployed in 30 countries by 50+ organizations including MSF, ICRC, GIZ, ASU, EPSON, OIF and WIPO, Beekee reduces learner travel and telecom costs while improving learning quality and consistency. For AI for Good, Beekee is adding optional on-device edge AI (small language model) to support facilitators with teacher-assisting tasks even where internet is unavailable.
