Andrea Apolín

Andrea is a law graduate from the PUCP Faculty of Law (Pontifical Catholic University of Peru) and currently works in the Personal Data Protection area at CLARO, a leading telecommunications company. With a strong background in law and technology, she specializes in the regulation and protection of personal data in the digital age.

Her academic journey includes serving as a Board Member of THEMIS, PUCP’s student-led law association, and contributing extensively to legal discussions through various articles published on Enfoque Derecho. Passionate about the intersection of artificial intelligence and data protection, Andrea has actively participated in major academic events, including the II International Congress on Administrative Law, the most important Peruvian academic event on “Artificial Intelligence and Public Administration”, organized by the PUCP Faculty of Law in 2024. She was also a speaker at the II International Congress on Tech and Law, hosted by Universidad Científica del Sur, where she explored regulatory challenges in neurotechnology and neurodata protection.

Driven by her commitment to the evolving legal landscape, Andrea continues to engage in discussions on AI governance, privacy, and digital rights, ensuring that legal frameworks adapt to technological advancements while safeguarding fundamental rights.
