Ameni Khachlouf

Ameni Khachlouf is a General Engineer in Telecommunications with over 15 years of experience in the sector. She holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and graduated from the Higher School of Communication of Tunis “Sup’Com”. Currently, Ms. Khachlouf serves as Head of the Research and Development Department at Tunisie Telecom, the incumbent telecom operator in Tunisia.

In her current role, Ms. Khachlouf is responsible for building strategic partnerships with universities, engineering schools, and startups to foster innovation and develop new services and applications. She participates in national programs aimed at strengthening collaboration between startups and industrial actors, and contributes to the evaluation committees for startup challenges and calls for applications. Ms. Khachlouf is also actively involved in the implementation of proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and Blockchain, with academic institutions and startups and she is responsible of the “idea box” campaigns within the company, aiming at promoting creativity and employee-driven innovation.

Actively engaged in ITU activities since 2014, Ms. Khachlouf has contributed as a co-editor to supplements focused on future networks and emerging technologies in developing countries. She also serves as the focal point for the ITU-T Study Group 13 Regional Group for Africa (SG13 RG-AFR) for the North and East Africa regions
