Agustín Freitas Pasqualini

Agustín is a Mechanical Engineer who began his career in Machine Learning Engineering in 2022. His educational background in mechanical engineering, particularly in energy systems, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics, has shaped his deep interest in how artificial intelligence can enhance the modeling and simulation of physical processes. While his current role focuses primarily on machine learning applications, Agustín is actively working toward blending his engineering foundation with AI techniques, pursuing a master’s degree that will help steer his career in this direction.
Over the years, Agustín has contributed to various projects addressing global challenges, including work on UN-related issues. In these projects, he helped develop strategies to improve risk assessment and mitigation. Additionally, he worked with his university on wind tunnel research aimed at optimizing airflow around buildings to improve the comfort of surrounding areas, particularly by minimizing wind-related discomfort.
Agustín’s goal is to use machine learning as a tool to improve energy systems and enhance the accuracy of physical simulations. Through his master’s studies, he is gradually shifting his focus to combine AI with mechanical engineering to create more efficient systems and potentially predict and optimize phenomena like weather patterns and energy consumption. By applying these techniques, Agustín hopes to contribute to sustainability efforts and find innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.
His professional journey reflects a clear drive to connect the traditional principles of engineering with modern AI capabilities, ultimately working toward solutions that can reduce energy consumption, increase system efficiency, and help address real-world environmental challenges.
