In this talk, I will explore the transformative potential of AI agents in alleviating the mental burdens associated with household management, a task often undervalued and predominantly shouldered by women. Through a qualitative study conducted in the US and India, I will highlight key pain points such as remembering appointments, planning, multitasking, and providing emotional support. I will then introduce AI agents as solutions to these challenges, showcasing their capabilities in prioritizing tasks, optimizing schedules, and providing emotional support. By leveraging AI for good, we envision a future where AI agents not only support household managers but also contribute to a more equitable society by addressing the mental load disparities across different populations. Join us as we discuss the exciting possibilities of AI agents in creating a more balanced and inclusive world.
