The FG-AI4AD supports standardization activities for services and applications enabled by AI systems in autonomous and assisted driving in accordance with the 1949 and 1968 Convention on Road Traffic. The work of this FG links closely with the UNECE Global Forum for Road Safety (e.g. WP1, WP29, GRVA) and progress will be shared with these committees. The FG aims to establish a universal minimal performance threshold for AI enabled driving functions (such as AI as a Driver), which is essential to building the global public trust required for widespread deployment of AI on our roads.
