This short, beginner-friendly course introduces the core principles of AI, with no prior experience required. You will explore what AI is, how it affects our daily lives, and practical applications and considerations.

Through interactive lessons and case studies, you will learn how artificial intelligence is used to solve real world problems on a global scale. You will examine how AI systems are developed and used, and how different decisions can impact individuals and society. By the end of the course, you will be able to analyze the social implications of AI systems on a global scale. You’ll also gain the tools to ask critical questions about how AI should be designed and deployed.

This course is ideal for students, professionals, and anyone curious about AI who wants to go beyond the headlines and think critically about how these technologies shape our world.

 

Participation details:

  • Times (both days): 9:00-11:00
  • Recommended mastery level: No prior experience with computer vision or programming is required, however, basic understanding of the Python programming language could be helpful (although it’s not required)
  • Language: English
  • Number of participants: 30, no registrations
  • Duration: 120 minutes
