This workshop spotlights real results from deploying open source Generative AI across three nations that are effectively transforming public services in health, agriculture, and climate resilience. Built on the first ever GenAI for Good Challenge it cuts through theory and goes straight to what matters: concrete pilots, operational lessons, and early impact already taking shape on the ground.
The GenAI for Good Challenge, jointly led by ITU, IEEE HT, UN agencies, and participating governments, roots its use cases in national priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goalss. Selected teams move fast through an accelerated three month pilot sprint, taking their solutions from concept to scaled field deployment. One winner per focus area then launches full pilots under real operational conditions.
As AI evolves at breakneck speed, the workshop makes one message clear: mission driven, values aligned partnerships are essential to turn Generative AI into digital public goods, build resilient public infrastructure, and ensure no community is left behind.
