Delivered by the Frontline Associates Training Centre (FATC) and the Geneva Graduate Institute (IHEID), this interactive workshop provides hands-on exposure to the use of AI in negotiation environments, including stakeholder mapping and scenario analysis. Participants will explore real-world case studies—such as outcomes from the AI Negotiation Challenge—and gain a critical understanding of both the potential and the risks of integrating AI tools in multilateral negotiations.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

    • Understand the practical applications of AI in diplomatic negotiation settings.
    • Critically evaluate the strengths and limitations of AI-assisted analysis for negotiation planning.
    • Experiment with hands-on use of AI tools to map stakeholders and test collaborative strategies.
    • Identify risks such as bias, misinformation, and algorithmic manipulation, and explore mitigation strategies.
    • Reflect on responsible integration of AI into multilateral forums and institutional practices.
