Elizabeth Magombo-Kabaghe

Elizabeth Magombo-Kabaghe is an agricultural economist who is passionate about contributing to the growth and development of rural economies in poor countries through empowering smallholder farmers and agricultural workers to increase the significance of their contributions to their economies.

She currently works with the Heifer Labs team that leads in the uptake and scaling of innovations to contribute to accelerating Heifer’s mission to support 10 million families achieve sustainable living incomes by 2030. Her focus is on designing projects that test technologies and initiatives to provide a leap for sustainably dealing with hunger and poverty. She has previously worked for Oxfam as Program Coordinator for the Malawi 2020 Tea Revitalisation Program and her work mainly focused on the achievement of the living wage pillar of the program where she led the initiatives that led to the increase of wages of the workers.
