Deandrew Moore

Deandrew is a graduate of The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, with a Bsc. in Computer Science. His fascination with technology, and the psychology behind user behaviors are the driving factors behind his work as a Software Engineer, and greatly influences his approach towards mobile app development. This directly taps into his passion for crafting user-centric applications that are accessible and user-friendly.

His love for solving problems within the digital space has seen him develop ATMFinder Ja – alleviating the hassle of finding working ATMs for many Jamaicans and tourists alike. The app relies on community updates for ATM status and encourages social good among its users.

Creating a better world by empowering and equipping youth with pertinent technological skill sets is something he has always echoed through numerous volunteerism and outreach efforts. As a newly appointed Hub Leader for the Young AI Leaders programme under the AI for Good initiative, Deandrew is driven by a vision of harnessing AI’s transformative potential to create inclusive, sustainable solutions and empowering this generation of creators.

By establishing the Kingston Hub, he aims to foster AI knowledge and skills within his community, empowering young individuals to take charge in shaping a brighter, technology-driven future. Initiatives like this ensure that the next generation plays a pivotal role in driving ethical societal advancement through technology.
