Imagine being able to search the internet, create digital art, and operate a robotic arm – with just your thoughts. Long considered sci-fi lore, these abilities are now a reality thanks to implantable brain computer interfaces (BCIs). While only a few dozen people with paralysis and neurological disorders globally have been implanted with a BCI, that number is expected to grow.
