Juan Sebastián Ulloa

As a scientist and engineer, Juan Sebastián Ulloa is driven by the pursuit of creating smart tools to preserve biodiversity. His research focuses on combining acoustic monitoring and artificial intelligence to assess and predict the impact of global change on tropical ecosystems. With a PhD in Ecology from the University Paris-Saclay, France, Juan’s strong background in signal processing and pattern recognition has equipped him with the skills to adapt these technologies for biodiversity monitoring.
