Together for Good – Building the AI Commons

Room 4, Level 0, CICG

The 17th UN Sustainable Development Goal, “Partnerships for the Goals” stresses collaboration to progress towards the common good. We observe the same need brought up within the AI for Good community; the impact on the SDGs will be met only through its stakeholders’ common efforts.

How can we better understand real problems and empower those wanting to solve them collaborate with AI specialists to implement AI where it matters the most? How can our joint efforts towards making beneficial and useful AI be shared to become common knowledge?

Sharing resources, from data to algorithms, to problem solving approaches is a first step to multiply synergies and to help scale AI for Good.

Since the initial AI for Good Global Summit, efforts were committed to design and build the AI Commons, a unique framework for collaboration towards the common good. During this workshop, you will discover current state of the commons research and first achievements, and you all have the opportunity to evaluate how to join this global community.
