The future of work will be shaped by an increasingly digital world. Yet, according to HP’s 2025 Work Relationship Index, only 20% of knowledge workers report having a healthy relationship with work. Notably, among those who do report a healthy relationship, 42% use AI tools on a daily basis. At the same time, it is estimated by the ITU that approximately 2.2 billion people around the world remain offline today. Given the transformative potential of technology, it is imperative that progress in AI and digital innovation is inclusive and continues to support those who remain disconnected. This session brings together leaders from HP, ITU, the YMCA, and UNDP to: Share positive interventions where social impact and AI have helped shape the future worker Explore ways to expand access to technology and AI skills for disconnected and underserved populations Discuss how to build inclusive, holistic ecosystems that support opportunities for youth, on-demand workers, and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises
